Haiti is set to receive $67 million in grants from the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
The Global Fund money will help provide these drugs to HIV/AIDS patients, with most of the funds being used to open 25 new testing and counseling centers throughout the country.
Our reportâ??prepared by Fred de Sam Lazaro, also a correspondent for the NewsHour with Jim Lehrerâ??features interviews with First Lady Mildred Aristide and Doctors Paul Farmer and William Pape, who are on the frontlines of Haiti's efforts.
