United States, Mexico: Border Health Office Opens
May 17, 2004 On Friday, the Mexican city of Tijuana opened its first border health office to assist in screening, preventing and educating people about communicable diseases such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis. The new office is run by the Border Health Commission, which has offices in both the United States and Mexico -- from Tijuana and San Diego in the west to Brownsville, Texas and Matamoros in the east.
