California: HIV and Aging Forum

September 21, 2009

A town hall meeting entitled "The Consequences and Management of HIV and Aging" will take place on Sept. 24 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the San Francisco LGBT Community Center, 1800 Market St. The meeting will seek to address challenges facing persons with HIV who, thanks to effective drug therapies, are surviving into their senior years. Scheduled speakers include Dr. Steven Deeks of San Francisco General Hospital; Peter Carnini, MA, of New Leaf: Services for our Community; and Matt Sharp of Project Inform, which is presenting the forum with co-sponsorship by Abbott Laboratories. Light refreshments will be served, and the public is welcome. To arrange for Spanish interpretation, contact Alejandro Cano at 415-558-8669 ext. 215.
