Fact Sheet: The HIV/AIDS Epidemic in the Caribbean

The Caribbean has the second highest HIV prevalence rate in world, after sub-Saharan Africa, and AIDS is a leading cause of death among 15-44 year-olds in the region. This fact sheet provides an overview of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the Caribbean, including the latest data on the populations affected and information on international support for initiatives to fight the epidemic in the region.
