Following last year's successful campaign to promote STD testing among gay men, a team of San Francisco health advocates is once again calling for a "spring cleaning" during the month of April. The drive is the brainchild of Castroguys, a group of activists, health care providers, businesses, doctors and community members working to launch a neighborhood-based sexual health resource center for gay men in the Castro district. The center, to be called Magnet, is scheduled to open at the beginning of May. Until then, a mobile medical van will conduct STD tests in the Castro and South of Market districts.
