LifeLube.org Engages Gay Men in Sexual Health Issues

"Gay, sexy and healthy" sums it up...

Brought to you by the new Sexual Health Xchange (SHX), LifeLube, launched officially on February 14, 2007, promotes a healthy, holistic and integrated gay sexuality that goes beyond HIV and STDs to embrace body, mind, and soul. We strive to build connections between and among gay and bi men toward a healthier, nurturing, and more vibrant community with room for all of us.

Think of us as the sticky stuff that keeps gay men together. Far from exhaustive, the selection of resources presented on the site is an eclectic mix of information.

National Gay Men's Collaboration Launches

AIDS Action Committee (AAC) in Boston, AIDS Foundation Chicago (AFC), AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), Philadelphia's Black Gay Men's Leadership Council and New York's Gay Men's Health Crisis, representing the diversity of gay, bi and same-gender-loving men throughout the United States, have partnered to bring you the Sexual Health Exchange (SHX), launched on Valentine's Day in February 2007. SHX's collaborative mission is to raise public awareness about the sexual health needs of all gay men and other men who have sex with men and to expand the range of sexual health education options available to gay men, especially gay men of color. The name SHX was strategically selected to situate HIV/AIDS within a broader sexual health agenda. SHX embraces a coalition approach as the optimal way to address the cross-cutting social issues underlying persistent health disparities affecting gay men and other men who have sex with men. In this regard, SHX will strive to intensify an exchange of ideas and resources among individuals and allied organizations, and to expand opportunities for grassroots participation in the promotion of gay men's sexual health as a human rights issue. In doing so, SHX hopes to unite gay men in their desire to have healthy and satisfying sex lives.
