Starting Treatment
My doctor thinks I should start treatment with Epzicom (Kivexa) + Viramune. I'm a model so I need a regimen without obvious side effects. Is this a good choice?
Is it better to take Epzicom (Kivexa) or Truvada with Reyataz?
I've just started taking Sustiva (Stocrin) + Epzicom (Kivexa). How can I gain some quality muscle to help stave off wasting? Are there any other meds or supplements that I should be taking?
I've never taken meds before, and my doc tells me my choice is between Sustiva (Stocrin) + Truvada or Viramune + Epzicom (Kivexa). Which combo is better for sequencing?
Which drug do you think is better: Epzicom or Truvada?
My doctor says a regimen of Viramune + Epzicom (Kivexa) is better than Sustiva (Stocrin) + Truvada. What do you think?
Since I was diagnosed two years ago, my viral load has been under 10,000, but my T cells have gone up and down. I feel great, but should I start meds? The doctor wants me on Viramune + Epzicom (Kivexa). What do you think?
I've already made up my mind to take Reyataz, but need to figure out the rest of my drug regimen. My doctor suggested either Videx + Emtriva or Epzicom (Kivexa). What do you think?
I recently began a regimen of Sustiva (Stocrin) + Epzicom (Kivexa). What are your thoughts on this regimen? How soon can I expect failure or resistance? If that happens, what other options do I have?
I've done a lot of research on HIV meds, and I thought I should start by taking Sustiva (Stocrin) + Truvada. However my doctor recommended Sustiva + Epzicom (Kivexa). Can you explain his choice to me?
How good is the new approved once-a-day regimen Sustiva (Stocrin) + either Truvada or Epzicom (Kivexa)? I have PPD positive skin test (not active TB). Can I still take this combination?
My doctor started me on Trizivir -- two components of which make up Epzicom (Kivexa) -- even though it's not suggested for first-line treatment. I've done really well on this drug, and I wonder why more treatment-naive HIVers don't use it.
I'm starting to take Ziagen + Epivir + lopinavir. [Epivir + lopinavir = Epzicom (Kivexa)] Are there any comments you can offer about my medication regimen?
Switching Treatment
There's been no improvement in my hepatitis B over the last six months, and my doctor thinks I should switch my Epzicom (Kivexa) for Truvada. Why should I?
I've noticed that my skin is getting darker, and I think it's because of my HIV meds. If I switch to Epzicom (Kivexa), as my doctor suggests, will this side effect be reversed?
My doctor switched me to Sustiva (Stocrin) + Epzicom (Kivexa) last June. My last labs showed my viral load up to 400, but my CD4 count rose to 485, my best ever since starting therapy. What's the deal?
If I switch to Lexiva and Norvir, is Epzicom (Kivexa) a good choice for my third drug? Please keep in mind that I am trying to reduce gastrointestinal problems, diarrhea and neuropathy.
Availability
Are the once-a-day drugs Truvada or Epzicom (Kivexa) available in Canada?
Side Effects
After three years on Reyataz + Epzicom (Kivexa), my cholesterol levels have gone over 200. I don't want to switch meds, but I know that it's important to have my cholesterol in the normal range. What can I do?
Is my fatigue being caused by my medications, Epzicom (Kivexa) + Kaletra, or is it something else?
If I stop taking my HIV meds, Epzicom (Kivexa) + Lexiva (Telzir), will the fat loss that I've experienced in my face and limbs reverse itself?
Since I started taking Viramune + Epzicom (Kivexa), I've needed to take more insulin. Could this be because of a side effect from one of the meds?
I'm taking Kaletra + Epzicom (Kivexa) + Truvada, with either the Epzicom or Truvada being a placebo, as part of a clinical trial. So far I haven't seen any side effects -- when will I get them, if ever?
I have been on Epzicom (Kivexa) + Sustiva (Stocrin) for a year and a half. The lines around my mouth have sunken a bit. Will I experience any further fat loss on this combination?
Since I started taking Sustiva (Stocrin) + Epzicom (Kivexa), I have gained so much weight. I've been dieting and exercising, but it doesn't seem to help. What should I do?
