Georgia Receives $2.9 Million for AIDS Drugs
August 1, 2003 Federal officials yesterday said Georgia will receive nearly
$2.9 million for AIDS drugs under the Ryan White CARE Act.
Georgia will match the grant with more than $722,000 of its own.
The Hall County Board of Health will receive $50,000 from the
government to help the health district provide comprehensive HIV
primary health care services. Last year, 9,775 Georgians were
living with AIDS, federal officials estimated.
