New York City: Walkers Step Up AIDS Fight
June 24, 2003 Registration is still underway for the AIDS Walk Caribbean
on June 29 in New York City. The 10K walk will begin at the
intersection of Flatbush Ave. and Nostrand Ave. in Brooklyn at 9
a.m. and will end at Wingate Park on Winthrop St. Funds raised
will go toward HIV/AIDS programs in the Caribbean and the United
States, with the goal of building a hospice and support center in
every Caribbean country. The walk is being sponsored by the
Caribbean People International Collective, which is also
presenting a Caribbean-American Youth Summit on HIV/AIDS this
Friday at Brooklyn College. For more information about this
