"Distribution of Health Care Expenditures for HIV-Infected Patients," Clinical Infectious Diseases: In the report, Ray Chen of the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Alabama School of Medicine and colleagues examined health care expenditures for HIV-positive people in the U.S. According to the report, physician reimbursements are inadequate to cover the costs of HIV treatment at most clinics (Chen et al., Clinical Infectious Diseases, 2/22).
