Florida: AIDS Conference Focuses on Hispanics
July 30, 2007 The National Conference on Latinos and AIDS gets underway today in Miami Beach with a keynote speech by actress and activist Rosie Perez. "It's important for us to look out for each other, especially when it comes to our own," Perez said in a statement. Hundreds of health care providers are expected to attend the meeting; presentations will discuss HIV transmission rates, prevention strategies, and the effects of state and federal policies.
