New York: New AIDS Center in East Harlem

March 17, 2003

New York City's AIDS Service Center opened its first permanent site Uptown recently. The ASC East Harlem Community Center is at 305 E. 104th Street. The 2,500-square foot office will operate with a staff of five full-time employees and five volunteers. ASC plans to expand its peer education program, which trains people in HIV prevention and harm reduction outreach.
