Ad Campaign In Washington, D.C., Urges President to Make HIV/AIDS a Priority Issue

June 10, 2009

The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has launched an advertisement campaign in Washington, D.C., comparing the federal government's response to the district's high rate of people living with HIV/AIDS to the government's response to Hurricane Katrina, myfoxdc.com reports. The group is urging President Obama to push CDC recommendations designed to make HIV testing a routine part of health care (Parker, myfoxdc.com, 6/10).
