"Financing the Response to HIV/AIDS in Low and Middle Income Countries: Funding for HIV/AIDS From the G7 and the European Commission," Kaiser Family Foundation: The report, prepared by Kaiser Family Foundation Vice President and Director of HIV Policy Jennifer Kates, examines the latest available data on 2004 HIV/AIDS funding provided by the Group of Seven industrialized nations and the European Commission to low- and middle-income countries, including estimated funding commitments and disbursements for bilateral aid and contributions to the Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Kates, Kaiser Family Foundation, July 2005).
"Transition and the HIV Risk Environment," BMJ: In this BMJ article, Tim Rhodes and Milena Simic of the Centre for Research on Drugs and Health Behavior at Imperial College London examine how political transitions and resulting social changes are contributing to the spread of HIV in Eastern Europe and the implications of such environmental influence on HIV prevention messages (Rhodes/Simic, BMJ, 7/23).
