International News Chicago Tribune Profiles Zambian HIV/AIDS Advocate Princess Kasune ZuluMarch 24, 2005 The Chicago Tribune on Wednesday profiled Princess Kasune Zulu, a 29-year-old HIV-positive Zambian who runs her own HIV/AIDS education campaign. Zulu was an AIDS orphan who cared for nine younger siblings and cousins and then married a man nearly 25 years older. When she discovered eight years ago that she is HIV-positive, she vowed to "make a difference" and began educating people -- from schoolchildren to truck drivers -- about HIV/AIDS, according to the Tribune. Zulu recently visited Chicago as part of a tour sponsored by UNAIDS and the World Vision International HIV/AIDS Hope Initiative (Lauerman, Chicago Tribune, 3/23).
