TPAN Executive Director Charles E. Clifton Dies Unexpectedly

A native of Milwaukee, WI, Clifton earned a Bachelors of Arts in U.S. History at San Francisco State University in 1993. He continued his studies, earning Masters of Arts degrees from Dartmouth College in 1995 and University of Chicago 2002. Clifton joined the TPAN program staff in 1995. In 1999 he was named MOCHA (Men of Color With HIV/AIDS Coalition) Director at TPAN, and in 2000 assumed the duties of editor of Positively Aware. In July of 2002, Clifton was appointed executive director of the agency, and continued to serve as editor of Positively Aware and Positively Aware en Español, TPAN's nationally distributed HIV/AIDS treatment journals. Clifton's leadership at TPAN will continue through the programs and services offered at the agency. All programs will continue as scheduled.
