Medical News Netherlands Donates $166 Million to Help Establish AIDS Research InstituteAugust 31, 2006 Dutch Public Health Minister Hans Hoogervorst has announced that the country will invest about $166 million in AIDS research, Radio Netherlands reported on Tuesday, according to Xinhua/People's Daily. Speaking at AIDS Vaccine 2006 -- a three-day international AIDS vaccine conference in Amsterdam, the Netherlands -- Hoogervorst said the funds will go toward creating an AIDS research institute.
