Luca

December 2001

Luca, 23, has volunteered for Arché, an Italian AIDS non-governmental voluntary organisation, since 1996. He visits children who are HIV-positive as well as those who are HIV-negative but who have a parent living with HIV. Luca also participates in an annual summer camp program for children who are assisted by Arché. Since last year, Luca has worked with a group of adolescents who are infected with or affected by HIV and helps them face the difficult circumstances of their illness.

"It is not easy to speak about AIDS if nobody listens to you. I like to listen."

-- Luca
