NMAC Brings the Latest in AIDS Training to Your Neighborhood

NMAC Regional Trainings 2001, scheduled in eight cities across the nation, will provide a unique opportunity for you and your staff to participate in a four-day comprehensive training experience that is essential for both the novice and experienced AIDS provider. The Regionals will be made up of a wide variety of training opportunities. Designed to meet your busy schedule, you can attend for one day or come for all four days, it's up to you. We hope you will join us!

Hot Topics, Skilled Trainers, and Great Networking Opportunities

Join colleagues in your region and take advantage of the wide variety of training opportunities available. Topics to be addressed include:

• Board Development
  In this eight-hour skills-building workshop, you will learn the intricacies of establishing and sustaining a functioning board of directors.

• Community Planning Leadership and Orientation Training (CPLOT)
  These two and one-half days of training for persons involved in the HIV Prevention Community Planning process focus on providing and increasing skill levels to assist in effectively participating in Community Planning Groups (CPGs).

• Fiscal Management
  In this eight-hour skills-building workshop, participants will increase their knowledge of fiscal management concepts and procedures for nonprofit organizations and become familiar with federal and authoritative accounting pronouncements.

• Grant Writing
  In this eight-hour skills-building workshop, participants will increase their knowledge of the grant/proposal writing process with a focus on developing well-stated goals, objectives, and program evaluation measures in a hands-on, team-facilitated approach.

• Getting the Most Out of the Web
  In this four-hour skills-building workshop, participants will increase their knowledge of computer basics and become more familiar with Website related resources and development.

• HIV Treatment Update
  This training will assist persons of color who are living with HIV to access information on treatments and to increase the quality of those treatments in communities of color.

Like all NMAC trainings and resources, Regionals are specifically designed with the needs of minority CBOs in mind. These meetings are also great opportunities for networking on state and local levels. So do not miss out when NMAC visits your city and sign-up today!
