Saturday night's Life Ball in Vienna's City Hall attracted 40,000 people and raised a record $10 million for AIDS research. The party's decorations, as well as the costumes of many revelers, were in line with the theme "Spread the Wings of Tolerance." "I'm here to fight for the cause. I've lost lots of friends to AIDS," said Janet Jackson, one of the many celebrities in attendance. The proceeds benefit the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR).
