North Carolina: ALFA Seeks HIV Testing and Counseling Volunteers

The AIDS service organization ALFA will hold a volunteer orientation May 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. To help with HIV testing and counseling, volunteers with medical or social science backgrounds are particularly needed. Other potential assignments include client transportation, public presentations, and committee work. The training, which will include a light dinner, will be held in the Fairgrove Professional Building, 1120 Fairgrove Church Rd. SE in Hickory. ALFA serves a nine-county region.
