U.S. News North Carolina: Moses Cone Opens New HIV/AIDS Assistance CenterApril 20, 2011 Moses Cone Health System and partners -- the Cone Health Foundation, the Central Carolina Health Network, and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill -- have joined to open the Regional Center for Infectious Diseases. Located at 111 Wendover Medical Center in Greensboro, across Northwood Street from Moses Cone Hospital, the new center will improve access to care for patients with HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. The center offers the services of a nurse practitioner, two case managers from Triad Health Project, and a mental health counselor from Family Services of the Piedmont. Federal funding through the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program will account for 55 percent of the center's budget, or $1.2 million; non-governmental sources will provide $997,615.
