More than 100 activists from 32 North Carolina municipalities are expected to take part in Wednesday's HIV/AIDS Advocacy Day in Raleigh. Event organizers -- the North Carolina AIDS Action Network and the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition -- say their top priority is maintaining funding for the state AIDS Drug Assistance Program. Another goal is to raise legislators' awareness about the reasons to decriminalize syringe use. For more information, visit www.ncaan.org and www.nchrc.net.
