Take Action: Call-in to Support HIV Funding in the U.S.!
April 1, 2011
April 5th Is National Call-in Day to Support Funding for HIV Programs in the U.S.
Congress has not yet passed a budget for 2011. With critical services at risk of being cut, YOUR voice is needed to tell Congress that these services save lives. These services keep women in care and improve the quality of life -- cutting or eliminating services such as psychosocial support, medical care, childcare, and treatment assistance risks women falling out of care and enduring poor health outcomes for themselves, their families, and their communities.
CALL TO ACTION: On Tuesday, April 5th, we need individuals nationwide to urge Congress to prioritize and protect life-saving HIV programs by calling Congressional leaders and asking them to support full funding for domestic HIV programs.
Join the U.S. Positive Women's Network and organizations from all around the U.S. fighting for adequate resources to address the HIV epidemic!
Give your representative a call, organize a meeting with other HIV-positive women in your community or call your local AIDS Service Organization to join their efforts.
