U.S. News Georgia Officials to Launch HIV Awareness CampaignMarch 10, 2011 In a move timed to coincide with today's designation as National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Georgia officials plan to announce the creation of a statewide awareness and prevention effort aimed at reducing the rate of HIV infection among black women. The new initiative, Sistas Organizing to Survive, is a project of the Georgia Department of Community Health.
