Nearly 2,000 New HIV Cases Logged in Kazakhstan During 2010

A state statistics agency is reporting that 165 new HIV cases were logged in Kazakhstan last December for a total of 1,969 infections in 2010. That compares with 2,072 in 2009, statisticians said. The country has a population of more than 16.4 million.
