Texas: AIDS Arms Moving

February 7, 2011

AIDS Arms is expanding its clinical capacity by building a new medical facility at its Sunset Avenue location and moving its office from Sunset to Jefferson Tower, 351 W. Jefferson Ave. AIDS Arms is the only Texas outpost of the AIDS Clinical Research initiative of the National Institutes of Health. When fully operational, the 15,000-square-foot Sunset clinic will serve an additional 2,500 clients. The expansion is being funded by support from foundations and donors, including a $250,000 grant from the Meadows Foundation and a $200,000 challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation of Oklahoma. Dallas County has the largest HIV/AIDS caseload in the state.
