California: Candlelight March Planned for Black HIV/AIDS Awareness

February 4, 2011

On Monday in observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, the San Francisco Department of Public Health's AIDS Office and community-based organizations will hold a 5 p.m. press conference followed by a candlelight march to the Western Addition neighborhood. A community forum at the African American Art and Culture complex, 762 Fulton St., will be held after the march; Bishop Yvette Flunder, founder of City of Refuge United Church of Christ, will deliver the keynote address.
