Numerous events are being held around Lansing in recognition of Monday's designation as National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. On Feb. 7, the Lansing Area AIDS Network is offering free, walk-in HIV testing as well as safer-sex kits from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at 913 W. Holmes Rd., Ste. 115. On Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m., the Ingham County Health Department will present a dinner and workshop entitled "African Americans and HIV," featuring Dr. Peter Gulick. The event will be held at 5303 S.
