2011 Youth Action Institute: C2EA Youth Caucus Seeking Applications Until Feb. 1January 12, 2011 The Campaign To End AIDS Youth Caucus is now accepting participant applications for the 7th Youth Action Institute (YAI) in Detroit, Michigan, the week of July 10 - 16, 2011. Every year YAI offers an HIV & AIDS advocacy and activist "boot-camp" for youth ages 15 to 25, complete with hands-on and interactive trainings from experienced activists and HIV professionals. Skills building include fund-raising, developing and implementing advocacy strategies around specific HIV & AIDS related issues, and developing and executing a direct action in support of local community issues. Organized and developed by C2EA Youth Caucus members, participants will be guided and supervised by trained staff (adult supervision will also be on site). Travel, meals, and lodging are all covered through fees raised by participants.
