U.S. News Oregon: HIV/AIDS Program Targets Older WomenNovember 4, 2010 Health educator Jacki Gethner will host a party, themed "Women of a Certain Age," on Saturday to call attention to the risks of HIV infection for women over 50. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about HIV and other STDs and how to communicate with partners about safer sex. Free HIV testing will be available, along with refreshments and raffle prizes. Gethner plans to hold six daylong workshops around Oregon to train volunteers in how to support women on issues surrounding HIV testing and sexuality. Saturday's party will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hollywood Senior Center, 1840 N.E. 40th Ave., Portland.
