Pennsylvania: Sunday HIV Awareness Run

Merck & Co. is sponsoring Sunday's 24th Annual AIDS Walk Philly & AIDS Run Philly. The Oct. 17 event is expected to bring together nearly 15,000 people to raise money for HIV prevention, education, and care services in greater Philadelphia. The day kicks off with a reading of names and the opening of the AIDS Memorial Quilt Display, followed by opening ceremonies at 8:30 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Walkers are asked to pledge a minimum of $45, for which they will receive an AIDS Walk Philly T-shirt. For more information, telephone 215-731-9255 or visit www.aidswalkphilly.org.
