The Well Project, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit Corporation committed to changing the course of the HIV/AIDS pandemic through a unique and comprehensive focus on women. Founded in 2001 by Dawn Averitt Bridge, The Well Project, Inc., ("TWP") is now an established thought and action leader in the field of HIV care for women. Over the past seven years, TWP has developed an award-winning Web portal providing the latest information on living with and managing HIV disease for HIV-positive women, health care providers, and advocates. It is available in both English and Spanish, directly serving nearly 1 million unique users per year. TWP's Women's Research Initiative on HIV/AIDS (WRI) brings together an extensive network of multidisciplinary stakeholders -- comprised of clinicians, researchers, allied-health professionals, and HIV-positive women -- to facilitate more, better, and faster research on HIV disease in women.
