The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities came into force in international law in 2008. In the same year, the Mexico City AIDS conference was the first IAC to include disability issues in the main conference programme. Two years later, this session asks "Where are we now?" Notable AIDS activists, disability advocates and human rights campaigners will gather for an interactive session to review and analyze progress made and obstacles encountered in the push to fulfill the vision of the CRPD in the field of HIV/AIDS. It seems ironic and regretable that information so clearly relevant to deaf people (as well as to all people with disabilities) is not even accessible to us! Please provide either a captioned version of this video or at least a transcript.
