Florida: Naples AIDS Walk Participants Set a Record
April 5, 2010
On Saturday, about 100 people took part in the 5th annual Southeast Florida AIDS Walk. The Island Coast AIDS Network, which organized the walk, serves a six-county region; the Florida Department of Health estimates the area is home to 2,905 people living with HIV/AIDS. Despite the economic downturn, the walk has continued trending upward, and this year's take -- $17,000 -- set a new record.
