Virginia Student Begins Reign as Miss America With Focus on AIDS Awareness

February 2, 2010

On Saturday night in Las Vegas, Caressa Cameron, Miss Virginia, was crowned the new Miss America. A senior studying broadcast journalism at Virginia Commonwealth University, Cameron plans to take time off from her studies to fulfill her new duties. Cameron plans to work closely with the National AIDS Foundation and will serve as a goodwill ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network.
