Florida: HIV/AIDS Conference for Women

January 26, 2010

On Feb. 27 in Daytona Beach, the Volusia/Flagler Minority AIDS Network will present a conference entitled "Sistas Organizing to Survive." Leisha McKinley-Beach of the Florida Department of Health, Bureau of HIV/AIDS, will be guest speaker; topics will include talking to one's children about sex, negotiating risk reduction, and HIV and faith communities. The daylong conference will take place at Bethune-Cookman University's L. Gale Lemerand School of Nursing, 739 International Speedway Blvd. The first 100 registrants for this free event will receive lunch, a tote bag, and a T-shirt.
