I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I have been playing soccer for over 20 years and so at a young age I discovered the importance of working as a team to accomplish a goal. I currently play for the Philadelphia Falcons and have traveled as far as Copenhagen, Denmark, to compete in an International Gay and Lesbian Futbol Association Tournament.
In 2007, six years after both the passing of my father and my HIV diagnosis, I had what I call my "ah ha moment." I try to look at every experience and ask myself, "What am I supposed to learn from this?"
I then became a campaign ambassador for Hope's Voice and participated in their Does HIV Look Like Me? campaign.
That October I also launched POZIAM, a social networking Web site for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. I wanted to give others with HIV/AIDS hope and a place to just be themselves.
In July of 2008, I debuted POZIAM Radio, a weekly Internet radio show/podcast with Jeromy Dunn of POZitively Speaking. In April 2009, Jack Mackenroth from Bravo's Project Runway (season 4) joined POZIAM Radio as a co-host.
