U.S. News Ohio: HUD Gives 12 Grant Renewals to Groups in SummitJanuary 11, 2010 On Dec. 23, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that all 12 grant renewals requested through the Akron/Barberton/Summit County Continuum of Care program had been renewed for another year. Among other grants, $131,598 was awarded to the Community AIDS Network for its Micah House project. In addition, the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority will receive $75,408 for its Shelter Plus Care project working with CAN's housing effort.
