International News Female Health Co. Gets European Patent on Improved Condom for WomenNovember 17, 2009 In a statement issued Nov. 12, Chicago-based Female Health Co. reported it has received a European patent on FC2, its second-generation female condom. The improved product was approved Oct. 1 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The company said its patent applications are pending in the United States and Japan, while patents have already been issued in Canada, Australia, China, and South Africa.
