In Brazil, You've Got Mail and Possibly an STD

A new Web site created by the Brazilian Health Ministry lets visitors e-mail a "virtual postcard" to inform their sex partners that they may be infected with an STD. The cards suggest that the recipients visit a doctor for screening. The cards may help people "tackle these diseases directly and with minimum exposure," said Mariangela Simao, who leads the ministry's HIV and STD programs.
