Matt Sharp
Matt Sharp was diagnosed with HIV in 1988 and has a long history of advocating for AIDS treatment. He was a member of ACT UP Golden Gate and later outreach coordinator for clinical trials at San Francisco General Hospital. He later helped to coordinate a city HIV treatment education program at API Wellness Center. Moving to Chicago, he was education director at Test Positive Aware Network and has a 10-year history of writing about AIDS. Currently, Matt is director of treatment and education at Project Inform in San Francisco. On a national level, he continues his advocacy in AIDS research and drug development by volunteering with the AIDS Treatment Activist Coalition. |
