U.S. News Nevada Health Division Releases Report on HIV/AIDS CasesAugust 18, 2009 The Nevada State Health Division on Monday released a report citing the latest HIV/AIDS statistics in the state, KOLOTV.com reports. "The report says that in 2007, Nevada ranked 24th nationally for the number of cumulative reported AIDS cases. There were about 8,000 reported cases of HIV and AIDS in Nevada in 2008," according to the article. KOLOTV.com reports that "the state is taking preventative measures including testing, education, and patient care" and "hopes these measures prevent future infections, and help those living with the disease" (8/17).
