New Forum for HIV Controllers

August 1, 2009

The Zephyr Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the very first interactive Forum for members of the HIV Controller community. We extend an invitation to all individuals known as 'long-term non-progressors (LTNPs), slow-progressors (SLPs), elite controllers and viremic controllers' to enter the 'safe haven' we have created that provides a secure place to meet other members of this unique community and share our stories, thoughts and feelings.

Forum members will have direct access to researchers who conduct important studies on HIV Controllers, get linked to clinical research studies, and follow the adventures of our members who travel to participate in them!

Please join us as we create a new chapter in the story of HIV/AIDS, and share the beacon of hope we represent to the PLWHA (people living with HIV/AIDS) community. For more information on how to register to become a member, please contact Loreen Willenberg at lwillenberg@zephyrfoundation.org.

I'm so glad to see something like this. I've been poz and an elite controller for over a year now and feel so weird, different, ostracized, special, lucky, and alone. It's a weird combination of feelings and I think only another elite controller will know how I feel. On top of those issues I deal with on my own, it's explaining it to sexual partners, friends, and even poz friends who don't really know wtf I'm talking about. I'm glad this support network is around and hope to finally meet some of you folk. B
