U.S. News California: AIDS Healthcare Foundation Offers Free HIV TestingApril 7, 2009 The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has begun offering free confidential HIV testing at its thrift store at 1498 Polk St. The rapid-result oral HIV test is being administered on Fridays from 3 to 7 p.m., said Adam Ouderkirk, AHF's director for the region. Beginning in June, the test will be available on Saturdays as well. So far, the Polk Street shop is the only one of AHF's Bay Area Out of the Closet stores offering the HIV test.
