International News Papua New Guinea to Provide No-Cost Condoms in Some HotelsMarch 23, 2009 The HIV/AIDS group BAHA has formed a partnership with more than 90 hotels and guest houses in Papua New Guinea to provide about two million no-cost condoms to guests, ABC Online reports. Eileen Seneve of BAHA said that the group targeted hotels for the condom distribution campaign because many people are exposed to the virus at the establishments. "It's there, it's available, so hopefully they'll use it," she said, adding that the group also will provide training to hotel staff. The condoms will be packaged in wrappers designed by local artists, following comments from a hotel chain that the original packaging was too bland, according to ABC Online (Fox, ABC Online, 3/20).
