Greetings Wise Women!!

September 2004

Welcome to the 15th issue of Wise Words. Women are living longer with HIV these days and doing things they probably never thought they could do. Having children, working, traveling, going back to school and getting involved in the community are just a few of the steps that positive women are taking in their lives. Managing your HIV or making decisions about your next regimen may not be the first thing on your mind.

This issue includes articles about resistance, third line therapy and stories from women who have been positive for many years. The public policy section talks about the importance of the upcoming election and voting. Finally, we would like to continue to make Wise Words relevant to the lives of positive women, so your input is key. A reader survey can be downloaded (PDF). Please take 15 minutes of your day to complete the survey and mail it back to us. We will include the results in the next Wise Words.

All the best in your decisions ... Peace and blessings.

Women's Program Manager
