International News 34 Percent of Nepali Drug Users Have HIV/AIDS: ReportFebruary 24, 2009 The HIV rate among injection drug users in Nepal is about 34 percent, according to the 2008 annual report released Friday by the International Narcotics Control Board. Nepal has more than 47,000 drug users, a population that is increasing by 10 percent per year, official data show. About 60 percent of drug users are IDUs.
