Estonia: Over 500 Estonian Residents Diagnosed With HIV in 2008

Health authorities in Estonia report they recorded 545 new HIV diagnoses last year. The 315 men and 230 women diagnosed included 60 prison inmates. Most of the cases, 161, were ages 20 to 24. A total of 6,909 residents have been diagnosed with HIV, while 250 have received an AIDS diagnosis.
