FDA Approves New HIV Blood Test From Roche

On Dec. 29, federal regulators announced they have approved a Roche human plasma test for HIV, including HIV-2 and HIV-1 Group O strains. The latter strains are mainly found in patients from Africa, but the Food and Drug Administration said cases have recently been detected in the United States.
